Hulu released a brand new original movie this weekend, which has already talked on the internet. The new thriller No way out, based on the 2017 novel by Taylor Adams, is a 20th century production and one of the first films produced by the Disney acquisition to be released directly to streaming service (as the studio had previously announced as a long-term plan). Starring Havana Rose Liu (“Mayday”), the cast of the film is deliberately small, but includes many celebrities, including Danny Ramirez (The hawk and the winter soldier), David Rysdahl (Nine Days), Dale Dickey (Winter’s Bone), Mila Harris (The young Dylan), and Dennis Haysbert (Discovery).
The film, directed by Damien Power (Killing ground), is formally described by Hulu as follows: “A young woman on her way to a family emergency is trapped by a blizzard and forced to seek refuge in a freeway with a group of strangers. When she stumbles upon a kidnapped girl in a van in the parking lot puts him in a scary life-or-death race to find out who the kidnapper is. ”Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari of Ant-Man and The Wasp wrote the screenplay.
The No Exit trailer is shown above and it is also careful not to show too much. just as director Damien Power had hoped.
“I think there are some specific things I did not like in the trailer that are not in the trailer,” Power told ComicBook.com in an exclusive interview. “First of all, I think it’s really a great trailer and it’s the kind of thing I’re going to see and I would like to see in this movie. “Well, yes, I’m very happy with that.”
“I think trailers are really difficult, maybe more difficult than movies,” Power added, praising the team that cut the No Exit ad together. “I watch trailers all the time. If a new trailer comes, I watch it. And I agree, some of it is great, but they tell me too much. And some of it is great for not-so-great movies. I think it’s a real art. ».
