Sony Pictures has released a new poster for the upcoming Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Sully.
The poster depicts Drake and Sully standing on rocks against the backdrop of a crashed ship. Holland shows the piece a lot, down to the style of the necklace and the shirt. Wahlberg misses Sully’s trademark mustache, but may grow it later. They both have very serious looks on their faces.
After years of development and multiple delays, the film Uncharted will be released in cinemas on February 18, 2022. Also starring Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle and Sophia Ali.
The film was written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. wrote MCU’s first film, Iron Man. Venom and Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer directed the film.
Holland said in an interview that part of the reason he signed up to play Drake in Uncharted was because it gave him the opportunity to try something new. It also allowed him to travel the world, something he intends to do more in the future.
“I’m always looking for a challenge. I’m looking for something I have never done before,” he said. “Now I use my job as an excuse to travel, see the world and meet amazing people. In a similar way to Nathan Drake, I really like adventure.”
Holland’s latest film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, is in theaters now – and it already does a great job.
