18 years ago The Matrix revolutions was released and both main characters died. The Matrix the franchise ended with a pretty tight bow, or so everyone, including the Wachowski brothers, thought. Now this The Matrix Resurrections is almost here and will bring them back characters who have been dead for a long time, the sequel was shown by co-writer David Mitchell. And it explains why the new film is not just a sequel, but a “beautiful and bizarre creation” that stands alone in the face of the typical blockbuster action movie.
Seeing how The Matrix The franchise stopped so long ago and the eerie nature of the franchise, it is reasonable to expect something completely unexpected in the new sequel. The Matrix Resurrections co-author David Mitchell, who helped Lilly Wachowski take her place in the play, opens in Step (via CBR) and explains what exactly we will not see in the film. Specifically, that it is not going to be compared to other blockbusters and sequels. Here is exactly what Mitchell says:
Although it is a strong vote of confidence in this hearing The Matrix Resurrections it is not going to be just another restart or sequel in the revival phase Hollywood seems to be going through these days, we still have no idea what is going to happen in this movie. There are many wild theories of course, but we will not really know until the movie is released for everyone to see. Fortunately, we have avoided any Matrix– destroying spoilers and we can enter with a few expectations past little action and a Keanu Reeves bathtub scene.
The big problem with a Matrix The sequel is obviously the fact that Neo and Trinity are supposed to be dead. Of course, the impossible seems to happen inside The Matrix all the time, and there are countless ways in which their return could unfold, including the theory that the first 3 movies it was just a video game set in the 4th movie. I know, unbelievably.
No matter how Lana Wachowski and David Mitchell do it, however, we do not have much room to deny that our minds will be really excited. With the film now over and Mitchell inspiring some important art in the film, I honestly look forward to seeing it and letting it unfold creatively.
The Matrix Resurrections It will be released in just a few weeks on December 22, just when it will be a nice Christmas present for long-time fans. You will be able to watch the movies in theaters across the country or broadcast them at home exclusively on HBO Max.
