The hierarchy of power in the Super Bowl trailers is going to change. On Thursday night, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Instagram to share the recently released DC Films teaser “Year for Heroes,” which featured his upcoming film. Black Adam alongside The Batman, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Johnson’s caption for the teaser revealed that on Friday, February 11, Johnson will cast a sixty-second installment representing “DC Universe,” which is being made to coincide with the Super Bowl weekend.
It is not clear at this point whether this point will simply include the aforementioned movies or any additional upcoming DC movies or TV shows on the horizon. The animated film is also expected to be released this year DC League of Super-Petswith Batgirl, Shazam! The wrath of the gods, and Blue beetle also on the horizon. Either way, DC fans will surely enjoy it – especially with Johnson advertising it so vividly.
“I do not know if we will address it [the multiverse]but everything in this DC universe that we like to think about is connected in some way. ” Black Adam Producer Hiram Garcia explained in an interview late last year. “And so the multiverse exists around our characters and in our world. Not that you’ll necessarily feel that in our film, but it’s one thing, right? We know there will be some other multiverse factors in there that we know exist. It’s just a matter of when we start playing with it or leaning on it, but we’re excited about it Shine film. Our friends make it, we know how big and ambitious this movie is and DC’s vision for it. We support it a lot. Andy Muschietti is such a brilliant director. You could not choose a better man to make this movie. And we are excited to see it. “But I think whenever you do any DC movie, fans can always assume that there are multiverse factors, whether you see it or not, that exist around it.”
“The truth is that there is a reason why we say that when Black Adam comes into the DC universe, the hierarchy of power is going to change,” Garcia said. “And there are very few established figures who could match Black Adam with their fingernails. I think as it is currently established in the DC movie universe, you see Wonder Woman and Superman as two characters who could have a shot, maybe if they work together, because he’s the Black Adam, right? “
Batman is going to be released on March 4. DC League of Super-Pets is going to be released on May 20th. Black Adam is set to release on July 29. The lightning is going to be released on November 4th. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is going to be released on December 16th.
