We’re just over 48 hours away from Halloween – and Netflix has loaded its platform with a slew of scary horror movies that are sure to make you jump out of your skin!
While horror movies come in many different shapes and sizes, the adrenaline rush that comes with a jump scare is always unmatched in the world of cinema.
Considered one of the most effective and frightening moments in a horror film, the jump scare has thrilled and terrified audiences for decades. Many will attest that this is perhaps where horror works its magic the most.
However, if you want to ensure that you and your household don’t waste time on a movie that doesn’t scare you the right way, using the site Where is Alma?we’ve put together a list of the scariest movies on Netflix UK this Halloween, using “jump scares per movie” as our main metric.
1. Insidious (2019)
Not only is it one of the best modern horrors around – it’s also one of the craziest ever with 24 jump scares throughout the film – and a whopping 10 of those jump scares were classified as ‘major’ scares. Eek.
