Snehdeep Singh Kalsi, who won Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s praise for his Bollywood song rendition “Caesarians” in five languages, has now caught the attention of industrialist Anand Mahindra. But this time, Mr. Kalsi won praise from the business tycoon for singing the popular song from the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. “Brahmastra” not in five but seven different languages.
Taking to Twitter, the Mahindra Group Chairman shared a video of the Mumbai-based Sikh singer and noted that it is so comforting to hear unifying voices in a polarized world. Mr. Mahindra praised Mr. Kalsi’s multilingual skills in the song and wrote, “Here’s evidence that @SnehdeepSK’s first music video was no fluke and that he really has language skills. He passed this test with flying colours. Once again, in a polarized world, it is so comforting to hear voices that unite…”

The clip opens to show radio jockey (RJ) Shourya Sachdev pushing Mr. Kalsi to sing in seven languages. The Sikh singer then starts singing soulfully in Malayalam and then switches to Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati and Hindi.
Mr Mahindra shared the video on Saturday night and since then his post has garnered more than 498,000 views and over 12,000 likes. In the comments section, netizens simply called the clip ‘fantastic’ and praised the singer for his ‘amazing’ performance.
Mr. Kalsi also replied to Mr. Mahindra’s tweet saying, “I am surprised that this video reached you and I am so happy that it made you feel that way sir. Humbled @shourya_sachdev@IshqFM.”

“Fantastic! His voice is suitable for all languages. Only few songs and voices will melt our heart in our daily life and this is one of them,” commented one user. “Quite touching. Soothing integration. Language skills are one. Singing skills take precedence!” wrote another.
A third user said, “Fantastic feat.. awesome ease with melody in every tone. Congratulations Champion @SnehdeepSK .. thank you @anandmahindra sir for always motivating such great talent,” while a fourth expressed, “What a wonderful performance in 7 Languages!”
In the meantime, the video originally shared by RJ Shourya last month. “He did something different on the [email protected] is a multi-lingual singer so I threw him a challenge, let’s see how he [email protected],” he captioned it.
