Written and directed Robbie Zombiea brand new concept The Munsters is heading our way this fall, and Entertainment Weekly shared the first look at the feature film this morning.
The teaser begins with an accurate representation of the classic introduction from the black and white TV series, before bringing the favorite characters into the world of vibrant color.
Zombie tells Entertainment Weekly, “I knew that if I went and demanded ‘This movie will be black and white or I will forget it!’ we would not talk about it Muensters now, because it would never have happened. I guarantee it. But what I did do was make the colors a bit super-real. I noticed when the actors were wearing make-up and just walking, eating lunch or whatever, they looked like cartoon characters coming to life. It was just so crazy colorful. I was that I had to light the film in the same way. It really seemed like a live action movie at all times, which was really exciting. “
Jeff Daniel Phillips plays Herman Munster and Zombie Sheri Moon plays Lily Munster in the Zombie movie, with Daniel Robak co-starred as Manster grandfather.
Richard Break (31, 3 from hell) plays Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang. Catherine Schell (“Space: 1999,” The Return of the Pink Panther) plays “Zoya Krupp the gypsy queen”.
Di Wallace, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson and Jorge Garcia will also star.
