It seems that Thor is doing a heavy soul search in the new teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder.
The highly anticipated episode sees the return of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor as he takes time to work on himself now that he has restored peace to Asgard – which has now become an earthly tourist destination. In the teaser, Peter Quill and the Guardians give Thor some vital life tips, reminding him to look into the eyes of the people he loves. The 90-second clip ends with ex-girlfriend Jane Foster posing as the new Thunder God, taking on Mighty Thor.
Tessa Thompson returns as Valkyrie, now King of New Asgard, and Jeff Goldblum is set to star once again as the quirky Grandmaster. Christian Bale makes his Marvel debut as Gorr the God Butcher, with leaked merchandise giving us a first look at his evil character. Russell Crowe will play Jupiter, the Olympian God of Heaven – so get ready for a lot of lightning.
The fourth Thor movie originally premiered on November 5, 2021, but ended up being one of many Marvel films affected by pandemic-related delays. This is director Taika Waititi’s second MCU film, with the first being Thor: Ragnarok. Waititi had previously said that Love and Thunder “may be the best Marvel movie ever”, adding to the ever-growing advertising campaign.
