Urvashi Rautela has announced that she is serving a legal notice for defamation against a journalist who had posted false information about her on Twitter. Sharing journalist Umair Sandhu’s fake tweet on Instagram, she said he was not her “official spokesperson” and had made her and her family uncomfortable with his claims. On Instagram, the actor shared, “Legal notice for defamation served by my legal team. Definitely displeased with obscene journalists like you for your false/ridiculous tweets. You are not my official spokesperson. And yes, you are a very immature person. journalist who made me and my family extremely uncomfortable. #love #UrvashiRautela #UR1.” He also shared an image of Umair’s tweet which he shared was fake. The tweet said that actor Akhil Akkineni, Nagarjuna’s son, had molested Urvashi while she was shooting for a song from his upcoming film Agent in Europe. Umair also hinted that the actor told him that Akhil was “immature” and was uncomfortable with him.

Fans assured her that everything will be fine soon. A fan wrote, “Don’t worry @urvashirautela ma’am all urvasians are with you we will always support you we will always stand by you.” Another added, “@urvashirautela Mom all #urvashians know you are such a humble and kind girl but this fake illegal news is made by haters. Don’t worry Mom we always support you @urvashirautela #agent #agentonapril28th.”
Umair Sandhu, who is based out of Kuwait, is yet to respond to Urvashi. In her Instagram post, Urvashi also called him “disgruntled” and “obscene” for posting lies.
This year, Urvashi made her Telugu debut with Waltair Veerayya. He is shooting for two more Telugu films including the feature Black Rose. The former beauty queen made her Bollywood debut with Singh Saab The Great (2013) opposite Sunny Deol. Urvashi has appeared in several music videos, including Yo Yo Honey Singh’s international video album Love Dose in October 2014.

Last month, Urvashi was spotted with Jalebi Baby singer Jason Derulo, who had reached India for work. She and Jason are said to be working on a music video titled Soniye which is set to release soon.
