Croatian-American and American actor Marinko “Marco” Radakovic reappeared on the big screen in Hollywood.
Marinko, originally from Zagreb, has a role in the new comedy film with stars “Do not look up”, directed by Adam McKay and stares Meryl Streep, Leonardo di Caprio, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence and Ariana Grande. The film was released in theaters on December 10, before being released on Netflix on December 24, 2021.
DiCaprio and Lawrence impersonate two low-level astronomers who try to warn humanity, through a media tour, of an approaching comet that will destroy Earth. The film is a satirical allegory of the revelatory events as well as the media and the government.
Marinko plays one of six intelligence agents in the Orleans president’s film, winning the role after the casting director saw more than 150 auditions.
“Marinko stood out because he has the look, the physical ability, a secret service agent, the strength, the agility and the experience with over 40 weapons. And, Marinko is by nature someone I felt I could trust. I understand the camera as well as our audience and I knew they would appreciate its authenticity. “Marinko has vast military experience, further enhancing Marinko’s ability to meet authenticity on camera,” said Director Casting. Judith Bouley he said, adding. “Also, in casting, I rely a lot on my emotions. And, in the conversation with Marinko, I had a feeling of his heart. I felt that Marinko was a man of his word. “A strong actor and a good man, whom I could trust to be on set with our stars like Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill and others.”
Marinko says he “really enjoyed working with big stars like Streep, DiCaprio and Lawrence” in the film.
In addition to the film, Marinko was busy with a number of other projects. She plays the bodyguard of Sandi Furness in the new season of “Succession” shown on HBO and participates in the last season 5 of “Billion.”, posing as a Swiss policeman.
Also, he has just finished shooting a film starring Antonio Banderas, as well as his first starring role in an independent film, playing the role of Dr. Puskarits. Last week, a new shooting project was also launched in Boston.
Marinko says he recently auditioned for a number of major shows in the UK after signing with an agent there.
Marinko moved to the United States in the mid-1990s after completing his military service and just finished the Croatian War of Independence to pursue a football career. After an injury that ended his career, he started working in modeling and acting.
