Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to share some important news with his fans and followers. The actor announced that he was the next recipient of the UAE Golden Visa and thanked the government for the honor. The last Bollywood celebrity to receive this award was Farah Khan.
Baron Dowan receives the UAE Golden Visa
Varun Dhawan took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself receiving the golden visa. He said that having made many films on the site, he can say with first-hand experience that the United Arab Emirates is a “great destination for film”. He also thanked the government for the honor.
What makes the golden visa special is that it is a long-stay visa. It was established two years ago, in 2019. It was first launched by the UAE government to help the country develop. The UAE Golden Visa is valid for 10 years.
Varun Dhawan has made many films in the UAE, including Dishoom, which has several sequences shot in Abu Dhabi. Street Dancer starring Shraddha Kapoor with Dhawan was also filmed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The actor is currently waiting for the release of his next work with Kiara Advani. Jug Jeeyo Jug. The comedy-drama will hit the big screens on June 24, 2022. Kiara recently revealed the release date of the film and also gave fans a taste of the film through a teaser. Dowan was awarded the Golden Visa after the honorary distinction of director-choreographer Farah Khan at the Dubai Exhibition. Expressing her gratitude, she wrote: “No matter how much we deny it, it is always nice to be appreciated … It is a great honor for me to receive the Golden Visa at @uaeatexpo at @ expo2020dubai.
