December 14 (UPI) – Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jacob Batalon of Spider-Man: No Way Home appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the Marvel epic and how it relates to the former Spiderman movies.

The film, which hits theaters on Friday, features bad guys from the past Spiderman doses not starring Holland, including Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Thomas Haden Church as Sandman and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard.

The team of the bad guys enters Holland’s Spiderman world after a spell by Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) opens the multiverse.

“We have the pleasure of working with all of them. We are huge fans of these films and especially this film is a celebration of three generations of cinema.” said Holland on Monday about working with Molina, Foxx, Dafoe, Church and Ifans.

“Bringing these characters back, seeing them bring them back to life, embodying these people who said goodbye almost 20 years ago was amazing,” he continued.

Cumberbatch was asked about working with young actors such as Holland, Zendaya and Batalon.

“These guys are Gen Z and I’m the Gen Old” Cumberbatch joked.

“I watch them. I think what they do is fantastic on every level. The atmosphere they create on set, the joy they work with, the talent they have to work with and you know how they keep themselves in public. They are an inspiration. “, He continued for his younger teammates.

Cumberbatch also noted that he is currently rehearsing for the upcoming Marvel Doctor Strange film in Multiverse of Madness.
