Have you always dreamed of seeing yourself on the big screen? On November 1st, you might have the chance to play the lead role in “Red Pine City,” which will be shot and produced by Factory Film Studio and Hot Shots Films!
Factory Film Studio has a catalog of over 130 titles and TV series and recently moved operations to Edmonton. Working with an Edmonton-based production company Hot Shots movieswill bring their first collaborative Albertan feature film “Red Pine City”.
The film is looking for its leading lady for the role of Kate, who is a charming and talented country musician in her 30s. She finds herself stuck in the bar gig world and thinks about making it, until her agent sets her up with a lucrative gig in Red Pine City. From there, he teams up with a reluctant hitman to take down the scourge of a local mobster.
If you think you can bring the role of Kate to life, casting will take place on November 1st from 10am to 2pm at the Orange Hub (10045 156 St NW Edmonton) in Edmonton. Filming will take place from November 7 to 26, and Kate’s actress will be needed all the time.
While Edmonton is a bit far away, it could be a great opportunity to appear on the big screen and work with two of Canada’s biggest production companies. The casting even hints at some big names joining the project, though that hasn’t been announced yet.
If you are considering auditioning, please bring a resume and a headshot. If you don’t have one, the press release says to just bring a good attitude!
