It’s been 21 years since then Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is in theaters. Led by Karan Johar, the film was about loving your family. It starred a host of famous stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Farida Jalal. The director on Wednesday shared a series of unseen photos in a reel to celebrate his directorial debut.

Captioned, Karan Johar wrote in a heartfelt note, “No words can encapsulate the feelings about this film. K3G was an absolute honor just because I had such a distinguished cast to direct on screen… and that soon became a family off screen too. 21 years later, I am still soaked in all the love that Dharma continues to give me too – be it the music, the dialogues, the fashion, or the emotions that support each family… THANK YOU! For fixing Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham what it was then and what it is today. After all, it’s all about loving your family.”
Meanwhile, Karan Johar will be making a directorial comeback after five years since its release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan. His next direction is Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani expected to release in April 2023. Starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is also expected to have several TV actors like Shraddha Arya, Arjun Bijlani and Sriti Jha among others.
Besides that, in his 50su birthday this year, Karan Johar had revealed that he is planning to do an action film next year. The cast has yet to be announced.
