Ballymena-born Liam Neeson narrated a new documentary entitled “Ireland” which will be released in selected IMAX cinemas and giant screens across the US in February 2022.
International Screening Theaters use specialized viewing and audio technologies to deliver the ultimate cinematic experience.
The film, produced by MacGillivray Freeman Films and funded by Tourism Ireland, will travel audiences across Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland, following author Manchán Magan and others on an action-packed trip from Dublin. in Belfast and from Kilkenny. to Cong.
Viewers will get fascinating shots from places like Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Cliffs of Moher and Skellig Islands.
The Hollywood actor said that he is “happy” to be in the film.
“There is a movement in Ireland to reconnect with our heritage, to rediscover what it means to be Irish and I am happy to help bring joy and diversity to all that Ireland has to offer, both old and new. “of the new, IMAX and the giant screen audience around the world,” he said.

Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism in Ireland, said the film hopes to “resume travel” from the US to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
“With the international release of the film coming out next February, it comes at an ideal time for us as we resume our travels to Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland,” he said.
“It will play an important role in the recovery of tourism from the United States.
“The film will be seen by millions of viewers in IMAX cinemas and giant screens, bringing to the fore our rich history, culture and heritage and our impressive landscapes.”
