We will see Alia Bhatt next in the panindic magnum opus RRR directed by SS Rajamouli. The film is set to hit theaters on January 7, 2022. Towards the end of September, when the Maharashtra government announced the reopening of cinemas, the creators of the protagonist Alia Bhatt Gangubai Kathiawadi revealed that their film would be released on January 6, 2022. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi is the title of Alia Bhatt. However, by mid-November, its manufacturers Gangubai Kathiawadi prevented collision with RRR postponing the release of their film.
At the trailer launch event RRR on Thursday, Alia talked about her thoughts when both of her films were about to collide at the box office. “SS Rajamouli is the one who is because of his mind. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the one who is because of his mind and his understanding of cinema. I do not care about anything. Even at that moment, I was like” kya hi hoga “(What will happen?) It’s going to be Alia vs Alia, Ajay vs Ajay because they’re there at Gangubai also. In the end, it does not. Gangubai Kathiawadi will be released on February 18. “Jayantilal (Gada) is also part of both,” he said.
Interrupting her, producer Jayantilal Gada teased: “Can we also say that he did a great job on the film and asked for a date to be changed?”
Responding to this, Alia said, “I’ve done nothing. Appointments are handled by producers and directors. I just follow. I’re just an actor.”
RRR comes out on the big screens on January 7th while Gangubai Kathiawadi will be released on February 18, 2022.
