Superstar Akshay Kumar is ready to enchant the audience with his latest role in the upcoming movie “Atrangi Re”.
Considering it as a complete film by Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush, Bollywood “Khiladi” says that he is just a character actor in the setting of Anand L. Rai.
Not much is known about the role of Akshay Kumar in “Atrangi Re”, which is expected to be released on December 24 on Disney + Hostar.
Speaking to IANS in an honest conversation in the capital, Akshay Kumar said: “I’re just a part of the film, but this is actually Dhanush and Sara’s film. He is the main protagonist and I am just a character in it. So when this movie came to me, I liked the story. “
The 54-year-old star revealed why he said “yes” to such a character.
“The character was small, but I liked it so much that I told Anand L. Rai I would do it and he was also shocked to hear me say ‘yes’ to it,” said Akshay, who in 2020 was named the highest paid Bollywood actor from Forbes.
For me, if I like the script, even if I have a small role like how I made a movie like ‘Khakee’, my character dies after space, but I did. I have made so many movies like “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” that I did not even have a heroine in “Hera Pheri”. I make films like this because I like it… I was also excited to have the opportunity to work with Anand L. Rai. ”
The actor, who has been awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award by the Indian government, credits Sara and Dhanush if “Atrangi Re” does well.
In a concluding note, he said: “I’m not a magician and I can not tell you what it is. There is a lot of fun in the movie. “There is a love story that has been presented in its own ‘Atrangi’ way.”
