New Delhi: The drama of Akshay Kumar’s era PrithvirajThe film, which was delayed in January due to the Omicron wave, will now be released in theaters on June 10, said producer Yash Raj Films. The film will also have Tamil and Telugu versions, in addition to the original in Hindi. It is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and stars Manushi Chillar, Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt.
Sure, Bollywood has lined up a new series of nationalist films for the coming months – from war dramas to epic and mythological stories. Vicky Kaushal will play Brigadier General Sam Maneckshaw, who was Chief of Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War in Sam Bahadur; Ronnie Screwvala is making two war films—Pippa for Brigadier General Balram Singh Mehta who fought in the 1971 war and Tejas starring Kangana Ranaut. Kartik Aaryan will play an air force pilot in a movie titled Captain Indialike Hrithik Roshan inside Fighter.
Kumar of the last movie Sooryavanshi was released in theaters for Diwali Weekend, also starred in a short role in the romantic drama Atrangi Re which aired on Disney + Hotstar for Christmas. He will then appear in an action comedy Batsan Pantei scheduled for March 18. The actor has also announced several other titles in recent months — Raksha Bandhan with director Aanand L.Rai, another untitled venture with Pooja Entertainment, Selfie co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Ram Setu co-produced by Amazon Studios, Gorkaa film based on the life of Lt. Gen. Ian Cardozo, Officer of the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army, OMG 2a sequel to the 2012 film OMG: Oh my God! whose first glance suggests that he is impersonating Lord Siva and Bademiyan Chotemiyan, an action movie scheduled for Christmas 2023.
