Actress Lindsay Lohan is expanding her partnership with Netflix, signing a deal to star in two new movies for the streaming service.

The news comes before Lohan starred in the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy focusing on the “Falling for Christmas” holiday, which will premiere later this year, variet.com reports.

“Falling for Christmas” marks Lohan’s first acting role in years. In the film, she plays a recently engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who has a ski accident and suffers from total amnesia.

During her recovery, around Christmas time, she is being cared for by a handsome homeowner with a blue collar (Chord Overstreet) and his premature daughter.

Netflix has not revealed any information about the upcoming movies, which will be other than “Falling for Christmas”.

“We are very pleased to be working with Lindsay to date and we are excited to continue working with it,” said Christina Rogers, Netflix’s Independent Film Director.

“We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world.”

After rising to fame with “The Parent Trap” in 1998, Lohan starred in a number of teen hits, including “Freaky Friday,” “Mean Girls” and “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.”

She began to decline her entertainment career in the early 2010s, appearing only in smaller films such as Paul Schrader’s 2013 thriller “The Canyons”, before moving abroad to live in Europe and Dubai.

While abroad, she opened coastal properties in Mykonos and Rhodes and recorded her business events in the MTV reality series of 2019 “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club”.
