Nightwing is back in Hamilton.

The HBO Max show “Titans” returned to the city this month, shooting scenes for its fourth season.

The show was filmed March 14-17 in an old warehouse on Sanford South Avenue, between Main and King Streets to the east.

33 Sanford Avenue South, the name of the building, is located on the corner of Sanford and Aikman Avenues. It is operated by Hamilton Filming Locations, which has three other locations in the city.

The warehouse, built in either 1903 or 1910, was once a winery. He has hosted other productions, such as acting as a speakeasy for “Murdoch Mysteries”.

The “Titans” have returned to Hamilton in previous seasons, including Liuna Station, Hamilton Town Hall, Tim Hortons Field and Hamilton Airport.

“Titans” follows a group of young superheroes from all over the DC Comics universe as they grow up and find themselves. They are led by Dick Grayson, who is known as Nightwing, but to other Batman fans as Robin, the Boy Wonder. He is played by Brenton Thwaites and Bruce Wayne / Batman by Ian Glen.

The show airs on HBO Max, which is not available in Canada. However, it can be accessed by visiting the HBO Max website.

The series also stars Anna Diop, who plays Starfire, Teagan Croft (Raven), Ryan Potter (Beast Boy) and Joshua Orpin (Superboy). Savannah Welch plays Commissioner Barbara Gordon.

The 13 episodes of Season 3 filmed the characters in Gotham City to investigate the murder of a friend. They undertake the mission to protect Gotham in the absence of Batman and are targeted by the villain, Red Hood.

Hamilton’s Wendy Crewson starred as a guest on the show.

Season 3 was filmed in parts of Hamilton last year. He filmed scenes at the Breezy Corner Family Restaurant on Highway 6 in Flamborough, but the most obvious shooting was in downtown Hamilton. He turned the FirstOntario Concert Hall (Hamilton Place) into a Gotham police headquarters. Last season, he turned City Hall into a Detroit police headquarters.

The show aired on HBO Max on August 21st and October 21st. It was renewed for a fourth season on October 16.

The cast and crew of “The Handmaid’s Tale” are pleased to return to the Hamilton area.

The award-winning Hulu / CTV Drama Channel aired on Scottish Rite on the weekend of March 19-21.

The show, starring Elizabeth Moss as John Osborne fighting a fundamentalist dictatorship that has taken over part of the United States, filmed an elaborate funeral scene in downtown Bradford in early March. He was scheduled to return to Uxbridge last week and to downtown Newmarket this week.

Maureen O’Donnell, a spokeswoman for the series, told The Spectator that the cast and crew are “excited” to return to the area for a fifth season.

“Citizens and politicians have always been generous, helpful and understanding,” he said in an email. “Many locations are ideal for our narrative. “Whether it’s appealing to local actors to take part in our scenes or arranging filming and parking licenses with local officials, Hamilton and the surrounding area have always responded to our requests with courtesy and professionalism.”

O’Donnell did not reveal anything about the plot for the new season, “as we do not want to spoil the power of the fifth season to the viewers.”

In the finale of the fourth season, Osborne and some of her maids beat to death a Gilead Republican commander who had raped and abused her.

“We value the loyalty and enthusiasm of our viewers,” O’Donnell said. “And we will offer an exciting and exciting new season. Storylines and new characters? You have to be patient and see for yourself when new episodes are released “.

O’Donnell could not say when the fifth season will air on the Hulu / CTV Drama Channel, but it could happen this fall.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” was filmed on Scottish Rite last season.
