May 25 (UPI) – Lifetime has delayed the release of Mckenna Grace’s upcoming horror film The bad seed returns in the aftermath of the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

Grace developed the story for The bad seed returns and co-wrote the screenplay with her father, Ross Bertz. The couple’s executive producer, along with Grace’s mother, Crystal Bertz, Mark Wolper and Barbara Marshall, who also wrote for the film.

The film, which is the sequel to Rob Lowe’s 2018 Lifetime film The Bad Seed, follows Emma (Grace) after causing the death of her father (Lowe, who also directed the first film). Emma now lives with her aunt, Angela, and goes to high school while trying to hide her awful behaviors.
