Marvel Champions: The Card Game will introduce a new game for the next encounter with MojoMania. This week, Fantasy Flight Games announced that the new MojoMania Encounter Set, coming later this year for Marvel Champions: The Card Game, will include a new multi-card encounter. While most modular encounters involve villains or complicating factors that players can overcome during Marvel Champions games, this new encounter adds Longshot to a useful ally that pops up randomly and immediately enters the game alongside the heroes . Longshot does not count against a player’s ally limit, and his card can be added to any scenario deck.
Longshot will be included in the MojoMania Encounter set. The two scenarios include a mini-campaign set in the Mojoverse. Players have to play in different situations against MaGog, Spiral and Mojo. Players must first fight Magog for a rating battle, then hunt down Spiral in the Mojoverse, before finally trying to defeat Mojo before he gets caught in the resurgence. These Mojo and Spiral encounters use six modular encounters, often referred to as “TV show”-style experiences in which players are stuck while trying to escape the Mojoverse.
The card game is a live game where players use a deck of cards based on a specific hero and team up with other heroes to defeat supervillains and foil their plans. Each scenario has different rules and conditions, and players can choose whether to use a custom hero deck or a custom deck that uses cards from a specific hero along with a different element of different types of cards.
The MojoMania scenario pack for Marvel Champions: The Card Game will be released this fall.
