After collaborating on some of Rajinikanth’s biggest projects, Lyca Productions will be reuniting with the southern megastar for their next venture. The film is expected to mark the star’s 170th venture and the production house took to social media to announce the same on the occasion of Subhaskaran’s president’s birthday. While more details of the film are expected to be announced soon, the untitled venture is currently listed as, Thalaivar170.
Lyca Productions opened up about the details of the film on social media, where they revealed that the film will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, who directed the much talked about and critically acclaimed Suriya starrer Jai Bhim. Moreover, the music will also be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who incidentally is also a relative of the South megastar. Announcing the details on their official Twitter handle, the production house said, “We feel honored to announce our next collaboration with ‘Superstar’ @rajinikanth for #Thalaivar170… Directed by critically acclaimed @tjgnan Music from the sensational ‘Rockstar ” @anirudhofficial @gkmtamilkumaran @LycaProductions #Subaskaran”
In a note shared by the production house, they further added about this collaboration saying, “We are happy to inform that the shooting of the film will start soon under the leadership of GKM Tamil Kumaran and will be ready for release in 2024. Lyca The team is extremely happy and honored to work with ‘Thalaivar’ Rajinikanth once again after many successful projects. And with all your blessings and wishes, we sincerely believe that this film will reach all the heights bringing joy to all the fans.”
Talking about the superstar’s current projects, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the much-awaited Nelson Dilipkumar directorial Jailerwhich also features Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Malayalam star Mohanlal, Tamannaah Bhatia among others in pivotal roles.
