Disney film begins production in New Mexico
The film will feature 10 young Mexican actors along with over 500 workers in the state who will participate
A Disney family movie has begun filming in Socorro and will continue shooting in New Mexico through May 2023. The movie is a remake of “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” The production of the film will employ 578 New Mexicans, 10 as principal actors, while the majority will work as crew members. Another 245 work as background talent. The previous version of the film was released by Disney in 2014. As the project approaches 600 workers in the state, the film is looking for more participants. It has an open casting call for backstage roles at parties. The film is looking for people of Hispanic descent, along with dancers, musicians, jugglers and puppeteers, to participate. Filming is currently taking place in Socorro. It started on Wednesday, April 26th and will end on Friday, April 28th.
