Bollywood and Southern crossovers have increased in recent years, but have focused mainly on actors. The great Bollywood superstars have always preferred the remakes of hits of the South such as Drushyam, Wanted, Kabir Singh to name just a few. Even then, sharing screen space with a Southern superstar for a local movie was very rare.
However, it seems that now Salman Khan is ready to introduce this new trend. Earlier, Dabangg Khan had confirmed that he would share the screen space with Southern superstar Chiranjeevi at Godfather. This high-budget film is the remake of Malaylam’s super-successful film Lucifer and will be directed by Mohan Raja.
Now, Bhaijaan is set to star alongside another great South Indian actor, Ventakesh, in his upcoming film. The announcement was made by Salman Khan in Hyderabad the day before, while speaking to the press during the promotion of Aayush Sharma led by Antim: The Last Truth.

At the event, Sallu Bhai said he shares a good bond with Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi and Ventakesh and will soon appear in Ventakesh Daggubati’s upcoming film. However, he declined to give further details about the project. Antim: The Truth received a mediocre response at the box office. In this film, the Tubelight actor played the role of a Sikh for the first time.

When asked why Antim: The Truth did not turn out as well as expected with every Salman Khan release, the superstar said most viewers did not go to the movies because they felt he was only present for a few minutes in the film.
