by Indra Kumar Thank God has faced some legal hassles for portraying Chitragupt played by Ajay Devgn. Now we hear that the film’s trailer will face a ban in Kuwait as well. Ajay Devgn Starrer Sidharth Malhotra Thank God Banned In Kuwait

Thank God depicts the story of a common man played by Sidharth Malhotra who meets Chitragupt in his afterlife after he meets with an accident. According to Indian mythology, Chitragupt is a Hindu deity who is the accountant who records the good and bad deeds of people. While the film portrays Ajay Devgn as the modern day Chitragupt, it is a social comedy that presents him in a funny avatar. This did not go down well with some of the Indian audience as a UP-based lawyer also moved the court by filing a complaint against the makers of the film for hurting religious sentiments as well as mocking religion.

Meanwhile, in the midst of upcoming Indian movie releases, apart from Thank Godthe Kuwait Censor Board has given green light to the releases of all other films, including those starring Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol and Shreya Dhanwanthary Sup. Other films to be released in Kuwait theaters include; Bye which marks the Hindi debut of ‘national crush’ Rashmika Mandanna as well as R Madhavan starrer Dock: Round D Corner. The Kuwait Censor Board also passed the Tamil film Sinam without any cuts.
