Akshay Kumar announced on Wednesday that Prithviraj’s film will hit theaters on June 3 this year. Sharing a new poster, Akshay wrote: “I am delighted to announce that Samrat’s great epic #Prithviraj Chauhan will hit the big screen sooner on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.” Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit theaters on January 21.
Prihviraj is a historical drama based on the life of warrior King Prithviraj Chauhan. The film, which also marks Manushi Chillar’s debut in Bollywood, is written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
Prithviraj celebrates “the bravery of India’s bravest Samrat”. The teaser of the film, released last year, introduced the character of Akshay Kumar Prithviraj Chauhan and gave a taste of the epic war that Prithviraj fought against the invader Muhammad of Ghori. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in key roles.
Earlier, Akshay called the historical drama a tribute to the heroism and life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The superstar said: “The more I read about him, the more I felt awe of how he lived and breathed every second of his glorious life for his country and his values.”
He added, “We hope that Indians around the world will love our greeting to this mighty brave heart. We tried to present the story of his life in the most authentic way possible and the film is a tribute to his unparalleled bravery and courage “.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a lot of work to do with his kitten. We will see him in Bachchan Paandey, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, OMG 2 and Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan.
