Yashraj Spu Universe has announced an upcoming female lead film titled ‘Alphna’ starring Alia Bhatt and popular Munjya Sharvari. The announcement was made on YRF’s Instagram with a caption in the voice of Alia Bhatt. The voice highlights the meaning of the word “alpha” as the first letter in the Greek language and the ruler of the “jungle”. The film is now in the production stage without knowing much about the plot.
Jigra
Release Date: October 11th
Helmed by Vasan Bala, Jigra stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role as the sister of Vedang’s character Raina. Although much of the film’s plot remains under wraps, it is believed to be a film about the common bond of a brother and sister who are each other’s only pillar. Alia Bhatt called it a story of “courage, passion and determination” while talking about her production ventures as she is also producing the film along with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra.

The sequel takes place in the same picturesque town of Khanderi where this time a headless man terrorizes its inhabitants.
