Ranbir Kapoor’s action-based family drama continues to hold strong at the Indian box office. According to early estimates, the Sandeep Reddy film Vanga has collected in the region of Rs. 11.50 to 12.50 crores in Hindi, taking the total collections to Rs. 400 crores. At the All India level, the total of 11 days Animal stands at around Rs. 445 crore range.
Animal is on a record breaking spree at the Indian box office and the film will enter Rs. 500 crore club by the end of the 3rd weekend, which says a lot about the kind of business this film is doing at the box office. The numbers come despite conflicting with Sam Bahadur as well as the limited viewing due to a running time of 3 hours and 21 minutes.
To add to the challenges, the film also has a Certificate and this has also alienated it from the family audience. Strictly word of mouth, Animal is easily the most loved film of 2023 as the numbers have come in a non-celebration with all the challenges and a relatively controversial view from a certain section of the media.
Animal is holding steady like a rock and it doesn’t want to stop anytime soon as the film will be shown even during Christmas week despite its release Dunki and Salaar.
