Recently, the actor had an interaction in the press with journalists from various publications on November 21, 2021. During the interaction, he talked about the appearance of OTT and Cinemas in the country. He also spoke about cinema as a powerful medium and how it brings in big revenue for the country.
Talking about whether the magic of theaters fades from the rise of OTT during the lockdown, he says: “No. I knew the theaters would close for a while, but once the vaccinations are done and it becomes like the common flu, people will come back and And the shooting will start again.I do not think that cinema can take the place of OTT nor OTT can take the place of cinema.Because it is not the same thing.One would sit at home with his family and “He would watch it on either the TV or the laptop. He also talked about how cinema is a powerful medium and special especially in a country like India. He says, “So growth in theaters is inevitable. The cinema on our side of the world is truly unique. It gives the maximum amount of revenue across the country. There are many businesses associated with it. Whether it’s barbershops, clothes, food and Many more.Our repercussions are huge.Although in the population of 350 crores, only 3 crores 50 lakh people can watch the movie in cinemas.From all the fees, whether it is for theaters or for us, we give 40% to the government ».
