With Jurassic World: Dominion bringing it Jurassic World In the end, Colin Trevorrow now turns his gaze to Atlantis. It was announced last year that Colin Trevorrow would direct a film based on the legendary Atlantis legend and left some teasing about the play by talking to Empire recently.
Colin Trevorrow said that the myths of Atlantis are actually more relevant to today’s world. “For a generation right now to be able to enter a world that does not look like its own world – where their elders have basically given them a dying culture – I think this is the right time for this story,“, Said Trevorrow. This story will not portray Atlantis as a desolate city on the ocean floor, but rather as a lost continent in the Indian Ocean occupied by a “multicultural culture with its own advanced technology.Atlantis is a story that has always fascinated Colin Trevorrow, who said it isthe only thing equivalent to dinosaurs for me.“
I’m fascinated by it… I guess I tend to go back in time. But, you know, it was the first time we had technology. And it’s at a time when we had other kinds of creatures that no longer exist. There are so many things about what fascinate me. So yes, I’m very nauseous about that.
Colin Trevorrow will direct Atlantis, a screenplay written by Dante Harper (Alien: Covenant), based on a story written by Trevorrow with Matt Charman (Spy Bridge).
Jurassic World: Dominion is going to be released in cinemas June 10, 2022. It takes place several years after its events Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the sequel will find humanity having to deal with invasive dinosaur species around the world. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have returned to reprise their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively, but the film will also include Sam Neill’s return as Dr. Alan Grant, by Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler and Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm.
