VIJAYAWADA: AP State Fibrenet Limited Chairman Gowtham Reddy on Tuesday announced that APSFL is starting First Day-First Show scheme to watch new movies on the first day of release.
This new concept will be launched on June 2 in Visakhapatnam. The public can watch the new movies in their homes by paying a subscription.
Gowtham Reddy said that the producer making the film and the audience watching will benefit from this arrangement. From now on, Fibernet will provide the opportunity to watch new movies at home.
This program is designed in the First Day First Show manner.
Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath will inaugurate the scheme in Visakhapatnam. Hero R Sai as well as producer board members C Kalyan and Rama Satyanarayana will be present.
“We will screen the movie Nirikshana which can be screened through APSFL.”
With the number of fan movies increasing day by day and when they appear in media like OTT, subscribers can watch new movies by paying a subscription of Rs 99, which is designed to be watched directly and not through OTT, he said.
He said since APSFL connectivity is already high in rural areas, this system will be more useful for those who cannot come to cities and watch movies in theatres.
Gowtham Reddy clarified that this policy will not cause problems for managers, theater owners or actors. “Theatre owners need not worry about the course and this approach should be considered just a theatre,” he said and clarified that a film will be screened only after the producers approach the APSFL.
“To bring APSFL closer to the people in AP, we have set a target of 55,000 km of OFC cable. So far, 37,000 km of cables have been completed. Out of 11,254 gram panchayats, 7,600 villages have fiber optic network connectivity,” he added.
