Deepika Padukone “drowned” when she saw 83, reveals director Kabir Khan

The release of 83 is less than a week away and after waiting for the movie for almost two years, fans expect this movie to be a cinematic experience. Based on the true story of Team India that won the Cricket World Cup in 1983, in ’83 it was directed by Kabir Khan and starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role. Deepika Padukone, who plays Romi in the film, is also one of the film’s co-producers and if her reaction is to be believed, this film is what cinema-goers expected.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kabir shared this Deepika was shocked when he saw 83 for the first time. The group of 83 was recently in Dubai where they promoted the film. The sports drama trailer was played at Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world in the presence of Ranveer, Deepika and other team members.

Along with Ranveer and Deepika, 83 also stars Hardy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badreika and R Badreika. The film hits theaters on December 24.
