It has been eight years since Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was released. While the movie stars Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin, it has now been revealed that Salman Khan’s brother-in-law, actor Aayush Sharma, was also part of the film.

In a recent press conference, Aayush Sharma revealed that he was one of the background dancers in the song Dilli Wali Girlfriend from the movie. The actor, who recently starred in Antim: The Final Truth, revealed that it was a job he undertook during his ordeal.

“When I came to Mumbai for my college, I was an aspiring actor who auditioned for everything from commercials, TV shows to roles as a small artist in Bollywood movies. I learned that Yeh Jawaan Hai Deewani was being filmed at Mehboob Studios. I called my friend and asked him to give me some work in the background. I told him that I would learn how to shoot if I worked in the background. So, I’m wandering around on YJHD song Dilli Wali Girlfriend. For the first time I saw how Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone play and how the shooting takes place. This was my first visit to Mehboob Studios. “So the biggest excitement was going to Mehboob Studios for this song,” he said.

Aayush, who is married to Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan, made his acting debut in 2018. The actor starred in the movie LoveYatri. The film was critically acclaimed and failed at the box office. He made his return with Antim, on Salman’s side.

The movie opened at ₹Collection 5.03 crore on the 1st day and finally rose on the second day, with ₹6.03 crore and third day, Sunday ₹7.55 crore. At the end of the first week at the box office, Antim picked up ₹29.35 crore.
