Ewan McGregor joins Anne Hathaway in David Robert Mitchellhis new movie.
Per The Hollywood ReporterMcGregor has signed on to star in Mitchell's new film, which will be released through Warner Bros. Deadline it was previously reported that Hathaway had been tapped to star in the as-yet-untitled March 2023 film.
Plot details are being kept under wraps. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter's sources, the film will be a “family adventure set in the 1980s involving dinosaurs.” Hathaway and McGregor will both play the parents.

JJ Abrams, Hannah Minghella and Matt Jackson are producing the film, with Jake Weiner and Chris Bender serving as executive producers. Sheila Walcott and Zach Hamby are overseeing the film for Warner Bros.
Mitchell is known for creating 2014's It Follows with Maika Monroe and 2018's Under the Silver Lake with Andrew Garfield. He is also working on a sequel to It Follows, They Follow, which does not yet have an official release date.
McGregor is best known for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars franchise. He recently shot a movie with his daughter, Clara McGregor, called Bleeding Love, which is directed by Emma Westenberg and will be released on February 16, 2024.
She also stars in Niclas Larsson's new film Mother, Couch alongside Rhys Ifans, Taylor Russell, Ellen Burstyn, Lara Flynn Boyle, F. Murray Abraham and Lake Bell. Mother, Couch premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023, but does not yet have a major release date in the United States.
Hathaway, meanwhile, recently starred in William Oldroyd's Eileen and Rebecca Miller's She Came to Me, both out in 2023. She'll next be seen in Michael Showalter's The Idea of You, which will be released on Prime Video on May 2, 2024.
