1. Kartam Bhugtam

“Kartam Bhugtam” is a much awaited psychological thriller that promises an exciting cinematic experience. The film stars Shreyas Talpade, Vijay Raaz, Madhoo and Aksha Pardasany and is set to impress the audience with its intense story. Directed by Shoham Shah, known for films like ‘Kaal’ and ‘Luck’, ‘Kartam Bhugtam’ delves into themes of karma and its effects. The film presents a new take on the idea that “what goes around comes around” and promises a story that will keep audiences hooked.

2. IF

‘IF’ follows the journey of a young girl who discovers her ability to see everyone’s imaginary friends. Using this newfound superpower, he embarks on a magical adventure to reunite forgotten imaginary friends with their creators. The film is directed and written by John Krasinski.

4. Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranayakatha

Directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, “Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranayakadha” hit the theaters on Thursday (May 16). This movie is a spin-off of the popular movie ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu’. Starring Sudheesh, Jinu Joseph, Babu Annoor and others.

5. Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil

“Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil” is a Malayalam comedy film directed by Vipin Das. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles. Deepu Pradeep wrote the screenplay, focusing on a wedding that takes place in the holy city of Guruvayur, Kerala. The female leads are Nikhila Vimal and Anaswara Rajan. Tamil comedian Yogibabu will have an important role in the film.

6. GU

“Gu” is a malayalam movie mixed horror and fantasy, directed by Manu Radhakrishnan. The film stars Saiju Kurup, Devananda and Aswathy Manoharan in the lead roles. Produced by Maniyanpilla Raju for Maniyanpilla Raju Productions. Photography is by Chandrakant Madhav and editing by Vinayan MG.

7. The Garfield

Garfield, the beloved lasagna-loving cat created by Jim Davis, makes a big return to cinema in The Garfield Movie. Directed by Mark Dindal, known for his work on Chicken Little and Emperor’s New Groove, this film is the sixth installment in the series and comes 14 years after Garfield’s Pet Force hit the screens.

8. Back to Black

“Back to Black” is a movie released in 2024 that tells the life story of British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse. Marisa Abela plays Amy Winehouse. The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and written by Matt Greenhalgh. Other actors in the film include Jack O’Connell, Eddie Marsan and Lesley Manville.

After the death of Amy Winehouse in July 2011, many filmmakers wanted to make films about her life, but none of them happened. In 2018, Amy Winehouse’s family said she had agreed to make a film about her life and career. In July 2022, StudioCanal began shooting the film and they shot it in London from January to April 2023.

The film hit theaters in Australia on April 11, 2024, and in the United Kingdom on April 12, 2024. In the United States, Focus Features will release the film on May 17, 2024.
