The Gridman Universe will continue with a new feature film that brings Gridman and Dynazenon together in one place! As part of Tsuburaya Productions’ concerted effort to expand its various properties to new audiences around the world, they have created a number of new projects that highlight their various characters in new ways. One of the most exciting was the two-season collaboration with Studio Trigger that gave Denkou Chojin Gridman’s heroes a whole new look and is now set to continue with a new expansion of the universe that has been created.
Following the end of SSSS.Dynazenon, it was announced that Gridman Universe would continue with a new project, but few details were given as to what could follow. During a special event for Tsuburaya Productions’ upcoming projects, it was officially announced that Gridman and Dynazenon will intersect with a new feature film. The new movie does not have an official title yet, but it is advertised as the next entry of Gridman Universe that started with the release of SSSS.Gridman in 2018. While the new film has not yet revealed an official title, it was confirmed during the event that Akira Amemiya is returning from both series to direct the new film for Studio Trigger. Keiichi Hasegawa also returns from both series to write the script for the new film, Masaru Sakamoto returns to create the new character designs and Shiro Sagisu returns as the composer. Unfortunately, it has not been revealed yet if any of the characters we met during the two series will return for the new quest.
The anime SSSS.Dynazenon carried some of the events from SSSS.Gridman as it took place a few years after this series and brought back two of the characters who ended up becoming important allies for the last series of races. The same thing can happen here, but we will find out soon enough. However, the new Gridman Universe movie has not yet set a window or release date, but what do you think?
