Gucci always sets the bar high with shock value in every campaign release. The latest aerial collection is nothing short of disturbing.

The fashion house kicked off the new season with one of its strongest collections to date, titled Gorgeous(same name as FW22 show).

Presenting a tribute to the famous and legendary director Stanley Kubrick recreating scenes from pop culture’s most acclaimed films, including: The Shinning, The Clockwork Orange, Eyes tightly closedand 2001: A Space Odysseywith the signature Gucci spin.

To ensure an authentic, accurate representation of the film’s scenes, Gucci collaborated with Warner Bros. and costume designer Milena Canonero. The result is a visual masterpiece reminiscent of the original films.

The Italian brand also hunted down highly accurate doppelgangers, including models and actors, to recreate the historical scenes.

“I have always been fascinated by cinema. For his power to tell stories that can explore the human adventure and its variation,” said Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele.

And he continued: “I have always imagined my collections as films capable of conveying a cinematic image of the present: a score of stories, eclectic and dissonant, that can sanctify man and his transformative abilities.”

The overall campaign is a testament to the Creative Director’s talent and ability to keep people guessing, what’s next?
