In a recent interview, the directors Arturo Perez Jr. and Samantha Jane revealed that they briefly considered reaching out to the 29-year-old “Watermelon Sugar” star to bring an iconic role to life in the musical film.
However, they ended up in a very different direction.

Talking to you The Hollywood Reporterthe duo explained that they played around with the casting Obsess as Glen Coco.
In case you forgot, Glen was a character only mentioned in passing when the Candy Cane-grams go missing. His role is incredibly minimal, but the character is at the center of one of the original film's most memorable lines – 'You go Glen Coco'.
Samantha he told the report that the series was guaranteed for the film since it is so popular. However, they began to wonder who could fill the role.
Arturo he recalled the conversation, saying, “Who can it be? I remember we were going, we could ask, like Harry Styles.”
“We were like Harry Styles could be glen coco” Samantha agreed. However, “Then we were like, hang on, we like to break the fourth wall: What if we're all Glen Coco? So after 20 years, we can all feel like Glen Coco.”
They decided to go in the opposite direction. It is not clear if they ever arrived Obsess about the idea.
