How to watch the new movie ‘Swan Song’ on Apple TV +, starring Mahershala Ali

by Stewart Cole

Today, Apple TV + premiered his last original feature film: “Swan Song”. In the science fiction film of the near future, Mahershala Ali stars in the leading role, as a man with a deadly disease who has the opportunity to extend his existence through a perfect clone of himself. Naomie Harris, Awkwafina and Glenn Close complete the cast.

The Swan Song revolves around the character of Machersala Ali, the graphic designer Cameron. The film begins with Cameron being happy with his life and his beloved family. However, Cameron is later diagnosed with an incurable disease.

His doctor, played by Glenn Close, gives him the option to be cloned – a perfect reproduction of his body and thoughts – to continue living with his family on his behalf. The problem, however, is that his family is not allowed to know that the staff exchange took place.

Swan Song is written and directed by Benjamin Cleary. Represents Ali’s first starring role in a major film. The film will premiere on December 17 with limited screenings in cinemas, as well as streaming on Apple TV + on the same day.
