The current week like the last one was very bad for the box office. All eyes are now on you Avatar: The Way Of Water, which hits theaters next week. Advance booking for the film started on November 22 and so far, the ticket sales have been very encouraging. Reviews pouring in from the West have also raised the expectations of moviegoers and the trade in general.

Bollywood Hungama has now learned that its censorship process Avatar: The Way Of Water it has been completed. The examining committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film with a U/A certificate and without a single visual cut. But CBFC members had reservations about the use of abusive language in the film. As a result, up to 12 words and terms have been deleted in the films. These words and terms are ‘p***s face’, ‘b***h’, ‘a**’, ‘f*****g’, ‘s**t’, ‘b** * holes, ‘dives**t’, ‘son of ab***h’, ‘a**-whipping’, ‘bats**t’, ‘a**hole’ and ‘f**k’. In total, the silencing of abusive language occurred at 18 points throughout the film.
After these changes were made, the censorship certificate was delivered Avatar: The Way Of Water on Thursday, December 8. The duration of the film as mentioned in the censor certificate is 192.10 minutes. In other words, its running time is 3 hours and 12 minutes. This makes Avatar: The Way Of Water the biggest film to hit theaters in post-pandemic India by surpassing the length of a Tamil film Cobra (2022; 3hrs 1min) and the Telugu blockbuster RRR (2022, 3 hours 5 minutes). It’s also a rare Hollywood feature length film that runs over three hours.
Directed by master director James Cameron, Avatar: The Way Of Water is the continuation of the very successful and acclaimed Avatar (2009). Starring Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton and Trinity Jo-Li Bliss. It is all set to hit theaters on December 16, 2023.
