The Sunny Deol starrer had to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ to achieve the feat. However, SRK has turned ‘Gadar 2’, this time with ‘Jawan’. In just one day, ‘Jawan’ managed to topple ‘Gadar 2’ to become the highest grossing Hindi film ever in India, in just 22 days!
‘JAWAN’ EMERGES AS BIGGEST BARRING HINDI FILM IN INDIA
Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ has emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film ever in India. Directed by Atlee, it managed to topple Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’. It’s a double celebration for Shah Rukh Khan as ‘Pathaan’ held the title till now till September 26 and within just a day of ‘Gadar 2’ overtaking it, ‘Jawan’ has broken its record.
‘Jawan’ earned Rs 525.50 in Hindi and a grand total of Rs 584.32 at the Indian box office, while at the global box office the film has broken all records by collecting Rs 1,000 plus crore to reach a monstrous 1043.21cr . All these huge numbers were collected and records were broken in just 22 days!
Jawan’s performance is not affected by the new releases and it is a clear sign that fans are loving the film and praising it even in its third week.
