Jeon Do-yeon and Seol Kyung-gu have been selected for the upcoming Netflix thriller Kill Bok soon (job title).
Earlier today (January 4), the streaming platform announced, per Korea Herald and Korea Times, that will be the production of the upcoming film by the famous director Byun Sung-hyun, who is known for the 2017 film that became known by critics The Merciless and the upcoming Kingmaker.
Kill Bok soon starring Jeon Do-yeon (Beasts clawing at straws) as the title of the character. A legendary killer who juggles life as the unmarried mother of a 15-year-old daughter, Kill Bok-soon finds herself in a life-threatening situation while negotiating a contract renewal with MK Enterprises.
Along with Jeon will be Seol Kyung-gu, who plays Cha Min-kyu, the CEO of MK Enterprises and the man who taught Kill everything he knew. Completing the cast is Taxi driver the actress Esom (as Cha’s sister) and DP star Koo Kyo-hwan (as a fellow killer).
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post Kill Bok soon will go into production or premiere on the streaming platform. More information about the film is expected to be released in the coming months.
Kill Bok soon is the latest original Korean content released by Netflix. In 2021, the streaming giant released hits like The silent sea, Squid toy, My name and Hell, many of which were at the top of the platform’s weekly list of most-watched shows.
Last year, the streaming giant also released the critically acclaimed Move to Paradise, who won third place NME’s The 10 best Korean dramas of 2021.
