Starring Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi Double XL has been making waves since its teaser release. Just before the trailer hits the tube, as it will be launched soon, comes the debut news of a young South star. From what we hear, Mahat Raghavendra, who is known for his supporting roles in films like Mankantha and Jillawill make his Hindi debut in the film.
Jilla actor Mahat Raghavendra will make his Hindi debut in Double XL
Mahat Raghavendra, who is a popular actor in both Tamil and Telugu films, will be seen in Double XL as one of the male leads in the film along with Zaheer Iqbal. Mahat is a prominent name in the South with notable films like Mankatha, Back Student, Jilla and several others in his honor. Talking about it, the director of the film, Satramm Ramani, said, “One of the important protagonists of the film hails from Chennai. We thought of casting a young actor from Chennai for the role. We saw some of Mahat’s work and felt he was the best fit for the role. He is an amazing actor and has done a fantastic job in the film.”
For Mahat, it was a pleasant surprise when he got a call from the Mumbai-based producers. The actor shared, “I came down to Mumbai to meet the team. When I heard the story of the film, I knew I just had to be a part of it. It was a wonderful experience working with everyone. This is something I will always appreciate. During the process, I made some lifelong friends. I am really proud to be a part of a film like Double XL. Such stories are rare to find.”
Mahat’s look and character in the film will be revealed in the trailer of the film, which will be released on October 12, 2022. Double XL is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, Wakaoo Films and Mudassar Aziz. The film is a production of Wakaoo Films, Element3 Entertainment and Reclining Seats Cinema. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Saqib Saleem, Huma Qureshi and Mudassar Aziz, the film is slated to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
