The director behind the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The movie is teasing new content that has never been seen in manga or anime versions! The first season of the anime was incredibly successful for the original manga series of the creator of the series Gege Akutami, and therefore it will make its debut in the feature film quite soon. This new film will have the limited series that Akutami had released before the finalization of the main series Jujutsu Kaisen and now serves as the first introduction of many fans to Yuta Okkotsu. But it seems that this will not be the only new addition that we will wait for.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will adapt this official prequel series and while this will be the first introduction of many fans to it, the director behind the film, Sunghoo Park (who is returning from directing the anime series), has suggested that there will be some new material that does not was explored in the first season of the anime and material that not even manga fans would expect. In a special message during the ABEMA special for the upcoming film in Japan (as translated by @soukatsu_ on Twitter), Park talked about the new things fans can see.
First, Park had teased that one of the highlights of the film’s story was the relationship between Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, which was never shown in the first season of the anime. This is the same for the manga (with a bow for both coming shortly after Death Painting Arc), but the manga had the advantage that the prequel series laid the groundwork for the two in the main series. This means that the film will fill in some important gaps regarding the two mentioned only in the first season.
The juiciest experiment, however, comes from what Park says about new material in the film that does not appear in the manga, “There may also be some brand new, unique illustrations in the film, so that even those who have already read the original manga can they can enjoy watching with their heart “. Park has been shy about what this new material might be, so fans will definitely want to tune into the film not only for what it reveals about the past, but also for what it could do to further enrich the anime for the future.
