And somehow, the Jurassic World trilogy is coming to a conclusion with Sovereignty just a few years after The franchise made a big splash with Colin Trevorrow’s film. You feel like yesterday, but life finds a way, you know? The upcoming blockbuster is unique because it will unite the new Jurassic World characters with the original Jurassic Park trio of Dr. Alan Grant of Sam Neill, of Dr. Ian Malcolm of Jeff Goldblum and Dr. Ellie Sattler by Laura Dern. The question that remains to be seen is how everything will go.
Jurassic World Dominion it’s not coming out in theaters until next summer, so for the most part, we’re in the dark. With that said, director Colin Trevorrow shared some information how the OG trinity will interact with Chris Pratt Owen and Bryce Dallas Howard Claire. In the words of the director:
In a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, the director shared that the three lead from the original Jurassic Park the film will be just as important Sovereignty as much as Jurassic World established characters are. It’s great news for the fans and it sounds like there is a really interesting structure being played here.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom left things with the surviving dinosaurs from the theme park being left free to civilization. The consequences left Owen and Claire in a great difficulty that they probably could not face on their own. Maybe as they try to control the situation, Grant, Butler and Malcolm get out of the carpentry and get back together to figure out how to help as well. I look forward to seeing that moment when everyone will be together again and how they will interact over twenty years later.
Previously, CinemaBlend spoke with Colin Trevorrow for the upcoming movie, and shared that they are involved in so many Sovereignty, it will be difficult to release the film without including their presence. As shared with us:
It is definitely exciting to imagine how much time we will have with our favorite trio from the first Jurassic Park movie after so long. Jurassic World Dominion is coming to theaters on June 10, 2022. As long as we wait, you can see it the prologue of the film, which has first material for where Sovereignty will get up.
