Kiara Advani is getting a lot of praise for her funky dance moves in the recently released song ‘Bijli’ from Govinda Naam Mera. Now, Vicky Kaushal, who plays Govinda Waghmare in the film, has showered her with praise by comparing her to veteran Bollywood singer Udit Narayan.
“Kiara Advani is like the Udit Narayan of actors,” says Vicky Kaushal of her Govinda Naam Mera co-star.
Speaking in a recent interview, Vicky said, “When I worked with her on Lust Stories, on the set, Karan (Johar, producer) and I were completely in awe of her. Kiara is like the Udit Narayan of actors. Because this is a voice I felt it fits every movie, every actor, everything. it is an evergreen voice.”
Elaborating further, he added, “You put Kiara in any genre, any part – comedy, action, thriller, drama whatever – she’s just a great actor, who can take that thing (and) the environment and she’ll just become a part of that environment. . So I always look forward to the opportunity to work with her.”
Govinda Naam Mera also stars Bhumi Pednekar as Vicky’s husband while Kiara plays his girlfriend. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
The movie will air on Disney+ Hotstar from December 16.
