Director Karan Johar is back on the coffee couch! Koffee With Karan season 7 started on Disney+ Hotstar with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt followed by actors Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan as guests in the second episode. As the buzz around the show builds, the Koffee With Karan couch saw Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu bring a lively boilerplate of glamour, secrets and witty paths.
Koffee With Karan 7: Akshay Kumar recalls how he bought his apartment after Jaani Dushman: “I made more money as Sunny Deol couldn’t come”
In the talk show, the actor talked about doing a film with 7 heroes once and it was Jaani Dushman. Talking about how his character comes back from the dead and how hilarious it was to watch, the actor said: “I was working on a daily basis and there was a scene where the bad guy kills me and I’m dead. I found out that the other hero that will play now, got stuck in New York and didn’t make it in time. I went to the manager and asked him if I should come back again.” The actor was Sunny Deol and he was stuck due to some health problem.
“You won’t believe it, today where I live, I needed money to buy this place and Jaani Dushman he took the money to buy my house,” he quipped. Karan and Samantha couldn’t stop laughing.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Aanand L Rai’s next, Raksha Bandan. The film will release on August 11.
