He is a graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India. Sayani won praise for her portrayal of a blind Pakistani-Bangladeshi lesbian activist in Margarita With A Straw, opposite Kalki Koechlin. The actress is known for her choices in cinema and for the sense of flexibility she expresses in every role.
