Lindsay Lohan 'very hurt and disappointed' by joke in new Mean Girls movie

Lindsay Lohan was left “disappointed” by a joke that appears in the news Bad Girls film.

A representative for the actress, who played Cady Heron in the original 2004 film, confirmed that Lohan had a strong reaction to a joke in the film that mentions “crotch of fire”.

“Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the mention in the film,” they said People.

The crotch of fire reference is made by artist Megan Thee Stallion, who wrote a song about the official Bad Girls the film's soundtrack and additionally makes a brief appearance in the new film.

Appearing in a montage on social media reacting to the Christmas talent show Jingle Bell Rock and the outfit worn by Cady Heron (played by Angourie Rice), the rapper declares “Y2K fire crotch is back.”

The phrase came from a 2006 paparazzi video in which Ashley Benson's husband, Brandon Davis, called Lohan a “crotch of fire.”

Digital spy Paramount has been contacted for comment.

In a completely “recovered” moment, Bad Girls Audiences see Lindsay Lohan make a surprise appearance in the new film.

Lohan shows up to host the Mathletes State Championship finals, attended by Miss Norbury, Cady, Kevin G and the rest of the North Shore High School Mathletes club.

Tina Fey, who wrote, produced and starred in both films, said that of all the returning original cast members, Lohan was at the top of her list.

“I felt like if I could just do one person to surprise, the original movie is really Lindsay's movie,” she said. Entertainment Weekly. “As great as everyone is, that's the heart of this movie.

“I didn't think [she should] play teacher,” she added. “I was trying to think of something you wouldn't expect. And just for him to do that late in the movie, it's also kind of coming, hopefully, at a time when fans weren't expecting another little surprise.

“It also lets her be smart, which is what Kandi is.”

Bad Girls is out tomorrow (January 17) in the UK and is already in US cinemas.
